I’m not the kind of people who gets scared easily. I’m not afraid of neither walking in the dark nor of facing a thief, which I know is something stupid to do but…..can’t help it. I have made a sudden stop in the middle of the street to yell not very nice words to someone who’s been following me, and I love reading horror books, the movies now make me laugh more than scream. I’m very fond of everything that deals with the unknown and I want to turn them known, the Ouija a must in my younger years!!!….you see, I’m a brave person…..unless I’m in “The ScArEfOfNoNsEnSeS Day”. Yes, once in a while I have one of those days and believe me, I can get scared of things that make others laugh…at me, of course.
I was reading some of my previous posts earlier today and I found one I had written in Spanish, I’ll try to translate it now so you get to know how mi mind works (or stops working) when one of those days hunts me.
(It was hot, too suffocating and I couldn’t sleep. I decided to open all the windows)
Finally some fresh air! But if some bug gets inside while I’m sleeping? Spiders? No, I better close them again. God, It’s hot in here! Ok, I’ll open the window just a little bit.
Humm, my bed is just a few inches away the window….and if someone appears and snoops, or takes my wireless phone from the night table? What a dilemma….I better shut it. I won’t sleep this way, impossible!! I’ll open them and I’ll keep looking through just in case….at least I’ll catch some air. Oh my! What If while I’m looking outside someone gets inside through the door behind me? I know! I’ll lie on my back and with my 20/20 vision I’ll have all the entrances controlled. (Of course that at 3 in the morning, my tired eyes start seeing shadows passing by) Could it be a ghost? No, why there should be ghost here! I’m tired, that what it is…. Just in case I will take a look. (I don’t turn the lights on, so I can barely distinguish my furniture and I forget about the mirror on the corridor) Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh sh*t, I saw something!! I run away and I realize it was me, damn it!
(The wind starts to blow harder and the doors make a jarring noise) Definitely, there are ghosts; I better leave the door ajar….but if someone looks at me through the gap? I don’t know what to do, I better shut it…but if I do I won’t know if there’s someone behind…I better leave it wide open.
(A strident noise comes from outside, like a plane passing by, but is too late for planes here, I forget about ghosts for a moment) What’s that? Is that a plane? Is it falling? Could it be the gas station in flames? I’m sure everything will explode…I will look through the window, no, no, I prefer not to know…I go to bed and wait.
Mmmm I’m hungry, I’m gonna fix a sandwich; I hope there’s no one hidden in the kitchen. I’m going to turn back all of a sudden and catch him unaware….AHA!!!! (Nobody there, I run to my bedroom as being taken by the Devil)
Back in my room…What’s that noise under my bed? I won’t look, no definitely I won’t, but just in case I’ll cover my feet. I start sweating.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the THING UNDER MY BED JUMPED OVER ME!!
I hit it so hard that it flew to the other side of the room, I turned the lights on……POOR MY DOG!!It was dawn, I fell asleep.
I omitted the tsunami part, which would be too much LOL
